Product description

The cajón (Spanish for “box” or “drawer”) is a Peruvian box-shaped percussion instrument played by striking the front or back (usually on thin plywood) with the hands and fingers. A special, slightly high-pitched sound is provided by the metal springs mounted inside the box.

In smaller ensembles, the Cajon successfully replaces the entire drum kit.

Each cajon drum is unique, handmade by Siim Koppel and the paintings are made by artist Mirjel Reitsnik.
